Still Street is an artist’s book conceived as a container of autonomous images, not bound into a linear sequence.
The photographs are loose, mounted on acid-free passe-partout, and presented as isolated presences.
Street photography is removed from action and reportage to become suspended matter.
The city is not described but evoked, reduced to echo and trace.
Human figures do not perform roles or represent social contexts.
They appear as silent, a-spatial and a-temporal presences.
The book preserves fragments of time rather than events.
An object that does not document, but holds.
An exercise in listening and waiting.
A photography revealed through stillness.
