In Nature, I bring together six images produced between 2001 and 2002, arising from an inquiry into matter, light, and time.

My work is not descriptive; it originates from doubt and from questioning form.

I do not seek the object, but its transition—the moment when matter ceases to be evident and becomes presence.

Light does not reveal; it destabilizes what it passes through.

This is an inner and silent nature, rooted in the condition of Sicilian land.

The images are printed by me in the 30×40 cm format on ILFORD gelatin silver paper.

Chemical treatments applied after printing are part of the image’s process of knowledge.

Some works belong to an edition of 7, others exist as unique prints.

Each print results from a non-reproducible event.

In Nature, photography becomes a site of memory and suspension.

In Nature raccolgo sei immagini realizzate tra il 2001 e il 2002, nate da una riflessione sulla materia, sulla luce e sul tempo.

Il mio lavoro non è descrittivo: nasce dal dubbio e dall’interrogazione della forma.

Non cerco l’oggetto, ma la sua transizione, il momento in cui la materia smette di essere evidente e diventa presenza.

La luce non rivela, ma mette in crisi ciò che attraversa.

Questa natura è interna e silenziosa, legata alla condizione della terra siciliana.

Le immagini sono stampate da me nel formato 30×40 cm su carta ai sali d’argento ILFORD.

I trattamenti chimici successivi alla stampa fanno parte del processo di conoscenza dell’immagine.

Alcune opere appartengono a un’edizione di 7, altre sono copie uniche.

Ogni stampa è il risultato di un evento non replicabile.

In Nature, la fotografia diventa luogo di memoria e di sospensione.
